Economic Survey of Delhi
Desc:
Contains various demographic and econmic statistics of Delhi and Also the employment and Unemployment rates.
  • The population of Delhi was 138.50 lacs in Year 2001. An increase of 47.01% from 94.21 lacs in year 1991.
  • The working population in Delhi was at 45.45 lacs in 2001 which constituted 32.82% of the Total poulation in Delhi in year 2001. This is also called the 'work participation rate'
  • In 1991, the total number of workers in delhi was at 29.80 lacs which was 31.63% of the total population in the same year.
  • At the National level 102.88 crore in 2001. Increase of 21.56% from the pupolation of 84.63 Crores in 1991 Census
  • Total Number of workers (working population) in India was was estimated at 4023.60 Lacs in 2001 which constituted 39.11 % of the total population in year 2001. In 1991, the total workforce was 4023.60 lacs which constituted 37.12 % of the total population in year 1991.

Indian Women In IT Jobs
  1. The exact number or percentage of women at various levels
    in the Indian IT industry is not availabIe due to the lack of gender
    disaggregated data in existing literature, including the National
    Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM). It
    is estimated that women constitute 21 percent of the total lT workforce
    which is higher than their participation in the national economy
    as a whole, at 13 percent (NASSCOM, 2001).
